The Biopsy Report received some unexpected news this morning.
It’s been shortlisted in the Best Specialist Blog category for the Irish Blog Awards. Yeah, I made it!
Having scanned the other 19 blogs which made it through the 1st round of judging in this category, I didn’t think my blog stood a chance against such talent. Last year, when ‘biopsy’ got through to the final round, I was convinced that it was probably because of a sympathy vote as I had spent much of my time writing about my experiences of battling MRSA. I made a positive decision after last year’s awards, to move on and instead feature health topics of interest to everyone. My biggest problem now is finding enough time to cover all the topics I want to feature. I love blogging, it just keeping getting better and better. Thank you to all my faithful commenters and thank you especially to the judges who have deemed my blog fit for purpose.

When I appealed to my technical advisers for help in designing a new logo to mark the occasion, I was told “do it yourself”.
So, with a little bit of help, here’s what I eventually produced…
